You should actually use a leash on every standup paddle tour.
It connects one leg to the board and thus prevents the risk of being disconnected from the board. This can easily happen due to wind or water currents. So we recommend every sup user to buy a leash and always use it.

Even on a river trip in shallow water. Since the spiral leash is not drawn into the water, it cannot get caught in the bottom of dangerous situations.

In the event of a fall in the running water, the board drifts faster than you can run or swim.

The Velcro can either be attached to the ankle or below the knee.
